1️⃣ The Temple of Athena 🏛️
Designed by the famous architect Pythius, who also designed the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus.
Doric-style temple built in the 4th century BC, dedicated to Athena Polias.
Originally funded by Alexander the Great.
Today, 5 of its original 66 columns still stand.

Capacity: 5,000-6,500 people.
Built during the Hellenistic period, later modified by the Romans.
Unique VIP seats with inscriptions—possibly belonging to priests or high-ranking officials.

The central marketplace where merchants and philosophers once gathered.
Nearby, the Sacred Stoa was a covered walkway used for public gatherings.
Contains fountain ruins, altars, and inscriptions.
4️⃣ Bouleuterion – The Assembly Hall 🏛️
The city’s council chamber, where political meetings took place.
A rectangular stone structure with rows of seating for delegates.

5️⃣ Priene’s Unique City Planning 🏙️
Built on a grid system—a rare feature in ancient cities.
The city had six main streets running east-west and nineteen smaller streets running north-south.
Public and private buildings were perfectly aligned with the Hippodamian plan (early urban planning).
